Narrative: I am a State University of New York (SUNY) Professor Emeritus & (e)Learning Consultant. As an educator, researcher, consultant and project manager, I have taught Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Immunology, Virology and Information Technology Communications (ITC) in the classroom (35+ years) and online (25+ years). I received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1978. My research was centered around interferon and its mechanism of action. I have also served in various ITC administrative, consulting, project management and teaching capacities which included CLO, Director of Distance Learning, online instructor/trainer, (e)learning implementation specialist with experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of learning strategies for classroom- and web-based learning with an emphasis on distributed and collaborative learning environments. I have taught online and trained instructors at most of the 64 SUNY campuses, made presentations at national and international symposia, published numerous (e)learning and scientific articles and continue to develop and revise online courses and training using both asynchronous (Angel, Blackboard, edu20, Moodle, SpacedEd, Studeous,TopClass and WebCT), synchronous (Centra, Elluminate, HorizonLive, iLinc, Skype, WebTrain, Wimba and Yugma) applications and Web 2.0 social media tools. I'm interested in the added value of teaching-learning with technology in business, education and government. I have worked with both business and educational institutions in the US and abroad that are interested in using asynchronous and/or synchronous web-based instruction to enhance their strategic (e)learning environments. I have been involved with the implementation of enterprise systems for higher education institutions (State University of New York (US), Pennsylvania Higher Education State System (US), University of North Carolina (US), San Francisco State University (US), Bryant & Stratton Colleges (US), Katharine Gibbs Schools (US), Deakin University (Geelong, Melbourne & Warrnambool Australia), Sheffield University (England), University of West Indies (Trinidad and Tobago), and others as well as Global 2000 companies (Dow Chemical (US), McGraw-Hill (US), PricewaterhouseCoopers (US), McGraw-Hill (US), Nokia (Finland), Bayer AG (Germany), Tertia EduSoft (Germany), ST Microelectronics (France), Hyper (South Korea) and others.
